Well, almost. There’s just one last thing I need to do to complete my certification. I got re-certified in CPR earlier this week, but now I need to get re-certified in First Aid. I had to do the CPR class in person, but I can do the First Aid class online. Once I complete that, I’ll be all set.
The RRCA certification exam was actually pretty tough. They allow 30 days to complete the exam after the coaching course, but I wanted to get the exam over with while the material was still fresh in my mind. I used to be the biggest procrastinator in school, but since this is running related, I was excited to work on it.
I’ve been working on the exam bit by bit throughout the week. It’s not easy to find the time to concentrate on taking an exam with a toddler. I had to be very good with my naptime time management skills.
When I finally finished obsessing over the exam today, I went back over to review all my answers. I marked down how many I was uncertain about to see if I was in danger of failing. I needed to get at least 80 out of 100 correct. I was soooo nervous as I clicked that little “Finish Now” button at the end of the test. The screen immediately popped up that said I got 90 out of 100 correct. Woot woot! I’ll take an A-. They told us during the course that no one has gotten a 100 yet on the exam so I’m happy with my score.
Now to get my First Aid certification wrapped up and I’ll be ready to get to business!
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
