I have good news!

I’m pregnant! Just kidding, you already knew that. But holy moly, less than 2 months until my due date.  Where has the time gone?

I’d like to say my good news is that my ankle is all better, but that’s not quite it either.  It has improved significantly, but it’s not 100% yet.  Working with the chiropractor has helped immensely, but I’ve decided to stop going for now.  I think the pregnancy hormones will continue to work against me.  I’m just going to keep up my walking and hope that giving birth will be the cure to my ailment :).

So what’s my real good news you ask? America made the right choice in the election on Tuesday!

Actually, that’s not even my real good news, but that is pretty darn good news.

My good news is that…drum roll please….

The Winter 100 Challenge is coming back this year!

The challenge was a huge hit last year.  Much to my surprise, people have even been contacting me to ask if I’d do it again this year.  It makes me so happy to know that people want to do the challenge again! I already have a few sponsors signed on for the giveaway and am hoping to hear back from more soon.

For those that didn’t participate last year, the challenge is that you have to run (or walk) 100 miles combined in the months of December, January and February – the purpose being to stay motivated to keep moving during the chilly months.  Everyone who completes the challenge is entered to win one of the amazing prizes from our awesome sponsors.  We had a pretty fantastic lineup of prizes last year so expect this year to be just as fabulous!

The post for this year’s Winter 100 Challenge with all the official business will be up soon.  Stay tuned!

Happy running!

I’m with you on the elections. Then again, we’re Marylanders–what else would you expect? ; )

Fingers crossed that once that bambino arrives, the ankle will shape up!

This sounds like fun!! I’d love to participate in the Winter 100. I’ve been reading for a while but never noted – I live in Fulton so probably not too far from you – and always need some motivation to run through the chilly weather. Looking forward to it! -Margaret

I don’t live in a cold climate, instead Dec -Feb is our monsoon. You’ve inspired me to create my own Wet Season 100 challenge! Thanks
